Elizabeth Danna, “Ella”, has always had an inclination towards art. As a child, she spent hours sketching the worlds of the books she read. This passion earned her acceptance into LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts. It was there that she not only honed her artistic skills but also discovered a deep love for Italian language, which led her to cinema.
Graduating from Fairfield University in 2019, with an honors, double major Bachelor of Arts in Film, TV, & Media and Italian Language, she established her media company, Ella Creative, Ltd. dba Willow Rose Studios in 2021. Ella worked as an assistant to the Producer of UNA PALLOTTOLA NEL CUORE, in Rome, Italy. Her short, LA SUONA DELLA CITTA, won “Best Sound” award at Cinefest Festival, 2019. Ella’s love of Italian language inspired her fantasy / horror short, LUCE NELLA FORESTA, currently in post-production. Ella continues to imbue her films with genuine originality. Her first feature, A RAMBLE TOWARDS RAIN, premiered at Queens World Film Festival in April 2024.
What are you most looking forward to on this project?
Given my love of fantasy, art, and bringing a creative team together, I am looking forward to the process of world-building that this magical film demands. In assembling this fantastic, creative team, I have faith in us and future collaborators in bringing Paper Boy to life.
Fun Fact Pineapple is my favorite food fruit… so much so that my Dad gifted me a pineapple in lieu of flowers when I won my two Cinefest Film Festival awards in 2019. The pineapple also makes an appearance in LUCE NELLA FORESTA, dovete guardare!
